Annette Sanchez is a Miami native who built her career around children and the families trying to protect them.
She began as an attorney with the Florida Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, handling cases involving abuse, abandonment, and neglect. She then spent time in private practice handling commercial litigation in state and federal court before returning to Children’s Legal Services in 2013 as a senior prosecutor. In that role she tried termination of parental rights and dependency trials, winning 13 termination of parental rights trials and 7 dependency trials.
That experience shapes how she practices today. She knows how child welfare cases are built, how judges weigh the evidence, and how much the adults’ choices shape a child’s sense of safety. She founded Annette Sanchez Law, P.A. to bring that perspective to parents and relatives, and she has run her firm for 10 years.
Annette is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, so she understands both sides of the table: helping families reach agreements, and representing them when an agreement is not possible.
Annette is a classically trained pianist who ran her own piano instruction business from age 15 through law school. She has also coached and mentored young cheerleaders. Hablamos Español.
